The situation
When Casey Moss came to us, their site was doing the basics, listing services, naming the team, and surfacing a contact form, but it wasn't pulling its weight in search. Local queries for tax preparation, bookkeeping, and small-business accounting were going to national franchises and aggregator directories instead of the firm itself. The site's technical foundation was solid enough on the surface, but the underlying content + schema strategy was missing the signals search engines and AI answer engines look for.
The bigger constraint was timing. Tax season runs on a hard calendar, so the work needed to be sequenced around it, foundational technical and local-SEO fixes shipping ahead of the busy window, then content and authority-building running through the quieter months without disrupting an already-stretched team. Anything that risked taking pages offline mid-season was off the table.
Our approach
The beginning of the campaign was dedicated to cleaning up any technical barriers to make sure our content could be found by Google. Then, we worked on designing a new site structure targeting small businesses, individuals, and the industries Casey Moss wanted to serve.
From there, the SEO campaign had a nice blend of targeting local and national keywords while building content for every stage of the funnel.
