Common things people ask before signing an engagement.
How long until I see SEO results?
First measurable wins land in months 2-3 (technical fixes + on-page resharpening typically move the needle first). Material program-level lift in months 4-6. Compounding programs see year-two performance 2-3× year-one as authority and topical depth build.
What's the difference between SEO and AEO?
SEO optimizes for ranking in search engines like Google. AEO, Answer Engine Optimization, optimizes for being cited inside AI answer boxes (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Overviews). They share foundations but have distinct tactical moves. I run both, and most modern programs need both.
Do you do content writing or just strategy?
Both. Briefs, on-page rewrites, and full content production ship inside the engagement. Senior writers and editors, not commodity freelance content. We can also work alongside your in-house content team if you have one.
What tools do you use?
GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, your CRM, your CMS, your analytics warehouse if you have one. Tool-agnostic on the deeper stack, we use whatever already exists, and recommend additions when there’s a real gap.
How do you handle Google algorithm updates?
Each major core update gets a written readout within a week, what changed, what it means for your category, what we’re adjusting. Programs are built to be defensible, not to chase the algorithm. Big updates rarely move well-built programs much.
Can I run SEO and CRO in the same engagement?
Yes, and they reinforce each other. SEO drives the traffic, CRO converts it; the data from CRO sharpens the SEO targeting. Most clients run them paired. Pricing combines both.
What's your pricing model for SEO engagements?
Direct rates, no agency markup. Quarterly engagement minimums with month-to-month flexibility after that. Standalone SEO programs and combined SEO + AEO or SEO + CRO programs are all available, pricing differs for each.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does. Rankings depend on factors outside any consultant’s control. What I can guarantee: a measurable, week-over-week tracking system, a defensible technical foundation, and qualified-pipeline lift over a quarter, without that, the engagement isn’t worth either of our time.
